One year ago from today I was still in the NICU at Hackensack, NJ. I was on track and suppose to go home a few weeks later but hit the wall with pulmonary hypertension and a downgrade back to the CPAP mask. It was a frustrating and angry time for me. I didn’t know why the uprights kept shoving that annoying pronged mask up my nostrils. I do remember a small Christmas tree in my room and mommy and daddy opening some boxes for me. I always wished I could go wherever they were going when they left my room 😢 This year we had a huge Christmas tree that automatically rotated and was decorated with lights and tons of ornaments. I was so happy to be around so much love, warmth and energy from my family. It’s good to finally be home 🤗 and not have to stare at blank walls all day.
Christmas Eve hanging with the cousins. Yup, I follow a strict no screens/device rule that mommy and daddy set 🙈 Whatever everyone kept staring at must have been interesting though Christmas outfit that my nurse gave me!Some sort of crackling fire noise behind me Do I really have to wear this helmet still?!? But the Santa hat is so much more comfy!To show off the power I have in the house, I decided to nap for 2 hours today, of all the days, and everyone had to wait for me to wake up until the presents could be opened. My cousins were such troopers with their patience waiting for me. Mommy’s side of the family ❤️❤️❤️SO MANY PRESENTS Gung gung and Po Po 💕Since when were Hamburgers associated with Christmas?!Trying to get all the grand kids together with the grandparents. One missing from the picture! The other one definitely wanting to squirm away from the picture.Finally present opening!Boy did it take me awhile. I was quite intrigued by the wrapping paper and wanted to play with it the entire time. Whoaaaaaa paperrrrrr. Who cares what’s inside when there’s paper to play with! 🤦🏻♀️Advertising beautiful music sound thoI got so many gifts this year! Bubble machine, mini drum set, race car set, train set, a portable sun shade shelter tent and sand toys for the beach, activity table, bibs, socks, books, mega blocks, hand me down toys, clothes My hat should really say My First Christmas Home Trying to catch a Christmas sunset on Manhattan pier before it goes bye bye Look at the size of those waves!!! 🌊
