I’ve recently started getting 1 session of physical therapy a week in home while Mommy fights for more sessions. I’m feeling stronger already 💪🏻
1st session: a full evaluation for the therapist to check out my abilities I think I’m suppose to shake this or something
Needless to say, the evaluation resulted in a report that indicated my physical, fine and gross motor, cognitive, and social skills were equivalent to a 4 – 7 month old baby as compared to my current abilities at an adjusted age of 9 months. But the therapist says the positive part of everything is that I’m very teachable and just need to be challenged in the right ways to unlock all of my potential!
2nd session: working on shaking and holding things while sittingTummy time is hard! But I do like looking at myself in the mirror
Ok, break time.
ROUND 2 Tummy time
And now my reward for all that hard work while working on keeping my foot flat during an Asian squat 🤣…I really liked playing with the beads out of all the toys in the bucketWorking on rolling and then lifting my head to get into a crawling position Gotta practice putting more weight on these arms!
Phew that was tiring Ready to play again and be silly with my tongue
So I’m not sure what to do with this but this is close enough right 🤦🏻♀️ Need to work on that OT (occupational therapy)
The therapist said something about me having a sensory processing disorder. Sounds serious but basically my body gets a bit oversensitive with touch and hearing, common with preemies. Also, since my taste and smell are diminished because I’m breathing through a trach, it makes the other senses hyper active. Death to loud 🚫vacuum cleaners 🚫🙉
